Peta
has had a varied and interesting career that has allowed her insight
into a range of organisations and sectors. A qualified solicitor,
she has worked as a law lecturer, employment lawyer and legal journalist.
She was founding director of the influential national charity The
Solicitors Pro Bono Group before training as a coach, moving into
consultancy and serving as a director of the award winning skills
training company fresh professional development.
She
was appointed by the Lord Chancellor as a member of the Legal services
Consultative Panel, serving for six years until 2006. She has also
served as a trustee of the charity Law For All and a member of the
Bar Pro Bono Unit Management Committee and the London Regional Legal
Services Committee.
With
a strong commitment to public service, she has been a volunteer
community mediator and is currently working as a reading volunteer
with primary school children in London.
Peta
is a fellow of the Royal
Society of Arts, and an executive committee member of the
International
Foundation for Action Learning.
